Education
and Bird Banding Station:
April
& May 2008, August – October 2008
Get
close to migrating songbirds! While researchers handle birds
captured harmlessly in nets, an educator will lead your group
in a discussion of the data collected, bird adaptations, the
challenge of migration, and the habitat necessary to keep
these birds coming back. RMBO currently operates 6 Education
and Bird Banding Stations in Colorado: Audubon Center at
Chatfield, Barr Lake State Park, Chico Basin Ranch just south
of Colorado Springs, CSU's Environmental Learning Center in
Fort Collins, on Willow Creek at Lamar Community College in
Lamar, and at Audubon's Ela Sanctuary in Grand Junction. Learn
