Activity of the Month:
Receive a set of 10 different bird-related activities to share with your students, one for each month of the school year! The front page contains background information on each month's topic, and the back page features a hands-on activity for your classroom. Available in English and Spanish. Bald Eagle Behavior:
Learn about Bald Eagle natural history, behavior, and conservation. Activities in this 20-page booklet focus on observing the life cycle of America's national symbol. Cost: $5 plus $2 s/h



Birds in Hand and Field:
Biologists the world over use banding to study bird migration, populations, and habitat use. This 16-page booklet is filled with activities for learning about this important research method. Topics include basic bird identification, migration, data collection, and more. Suitable for grades 1-7, and used in training adults at bird banding stations. Available in English and Spanish. Cost: $5 plus $2 s/h



The Shortgrass Prairie:
Activities in this 16-page booklet focus on shortgrass prairie ecology, from a close look at grasses and grassland birds to the inhabitants of a prairie dog town. Make your own field guide, play The Prairie Game, learn about Burrowing Owls, and more! Cost: $5 plus $2 s/h

A Guide to 30 Common Birds:
This new, simple field guide illustrates 30 species of common birds in four habitats; grassland, lowland riparian, wetland, and urban/agricultural. All birds are pictured in color in their representative habitats. The guide also offers tips for field identification Cost: $2 plus $1 s/h



Commuter's Guide to Adams County (Colorado):
A fun map and guide illustrating easy-access sites for birding along Adams County's main commuter thoroughfares. Cost: $2 plus $1 s/h



Taking Flight: Achievements in Ornithology:
This program gives you the chance to expand your knowledge about birds, earning patches as you complete each level. You will receive a booklet with background information and a list of tasks to complete in each of four different categories. As you finish each category, you will receive a patch honoring your accomplishments. Cost: $10 plus $2 s/h (contact CBO for bulk discount)



Western Hawks in Migration:
A great introduction to basic raptor identification and migration concepts. Four-page pamphlet with insert. Cost: $2 plus $1 s/h



1999 IMBD Educator's Supplement:
10 full-color overhead transparencies feature important topics in migratory bird conservation. Accompanying 40-page packet includes activities, resources, and background information on each topic. Designed for use by schools, scouts, and bird clubs. Cost: 1-5 packets: $9.50 each 6 or more: $9 each s/h dependent on total order cost
